Certificate III in Ageing Support

Course Description

CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support. This qualification reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community based environments. Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation and review of individualised service planning and delivery.

Workers may be required to demonstrate leadership and have limited responsibility for the organisation and the quantity and quality of outputs of others within limited parameters.

To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.

No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Entry RequirementsThere are no entry requirements for this qualification, however candidates must be 18 years old at the time of enrolment.

You will be interviewed by Future Academy to assess whether the course you want to enrol in is right for you. This is to ensure you will be able to cope with the demands of the course or so we can find a course more suited to what you want.

Education and Work Pathways

After achieving this qualification, candidates may choose to undertake studies at a higher education level. This course is a pathway into the Diploma of Community Services or Diploma of Nursing and may enter into the Bachelor of Health Science Nursing.

Course Structure

Fifteen (15) core and Three (3) elective units are required for the award of the CHC43015– Certificate IV in Ageing Support. Units have been selected in accordance with the packaging rules and are relevant to the work outcome, local industry requirements and qualification level.
